Story
Myself and Sam will be running for the late Chris Faulkner and Graham White who we sadly lost in the last year.
Chris, was Sam’s uncle and my father in law. He battled cancer for many years and LOROS helped him enormously towards the end of his life. Chris continued his love of art in his later life in LOROS where he was supported to show off his talents. A poignant moment during his time there was facilitated by LOROS when they set up a Valentine's day meal for him and his wife. These are just two displays of how the staff helped give the latter stages of Chris' life meaning until his story reached it's ending.
My Grandad, Graham had a short battle with cancer. He was a patient at the hospice received help from them before he returned home where he passed peacefully.
We would like to give back to LOROS by raising as much money as we can as a thank you and so they can continue the much needed care for other patients and their families.
Any donations would be greatly appreciated. This will be a big achievement for us both, Emily has never ran a half marathon.
Please dig deep and support LOROS Hospice as part of The Leicester Half Marathon in 2022. LOROS cares for more than 2,500 patients and their families across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland each year. Your help makes all the difference.
