Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.
Next September, I will be embarking on a trek to reach the highest point in Africa! Kilimanjaro stands at 5895m above sea level, and I can't wait to face sub-zero temperatures, altitude sickness, makeshift toilets, and a whole load of creepy crawlies to make it to the top.
But to do that I'll need your help. The whole reason I''m taking on this challenge is to raise money for Meningitis Research Foundation, and help make a difference. Meningitis affects small children and young adults the most, and so at University I, along with many other students, are at an increased risk. It could hit any of us at any time, and so to be part of such a great cause means that I can potentially help some of my closest friends and peers, and even myself, if we ever have to face such devastating disease.
Over the next eight months, I will be doing many fundraising events and activities to reach my target of £3000. It would be wonderful to see you all get involved in this cause by donating anything you can to help me reach my goal and make it to the top of Kilimanjaro!
And now, for the science-y bit...
