Story
I am doing the Belfast Fun Run on 2nd May 2011 in aid of the Freeman Heart & Lung Transplant in Newcastle Upon Tyne.
I have decided on this charity as my sister Dolores had visited the hospital on a few occasions. The treatment, counselling she received for herself and her family was of an exceptional standard.
The Freeman Hospital’s Cardiopulmonary Transplant Service was established over 20 years ago. They performed their first heart transplant in 1985 and their first lung transplant in 1987. They have since performed almost 800 heart transplants, including over 140 in children, and over 600 heart and lung transplants. Over the last 3 years they have performed more cardiopulmonary transplants than anywhere else in the UK and we are widely regarded as the premier lung transplant service in the country.
Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity and make sure Gift Aid is reclaimed on every eligible donation by a UK taxpayer. So it’s the most efficient way to donate - I raise more, whilst saving time and cutting costs for the charity.
So please dig deep and donate now so we can help to give other people the same opportunity that Dolores was given.
Thank you again, Dympna
