Story

Dylan is 8 years old & attends Rebecca House Childrens Hospice for respite care. Dylan has a condition called Periventricular Leucomalacia which means he has conditions such as Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy and recently had Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy (SDR) surgery to help ease the pain in his legs & reduce the spasticity in his calves.

Inspired by Tobias Weller, who completed a Marathon on his walker up and down his road for 70 days and also has Cerebral Palsy, Dylan has decided to take on the incredible challenge of climbing the Islands highest peak and only mountain, Snaefell on Saturday 25th July. Thanks to the support he has received from Rebecca House and the many friends he has met through their service, Dylan hopes to give back and help raise funds towards some new toys for the children and a fantastic new playground for Rebecca House.

Dylan’s condition impacts his ability to walk so the first 414m will be completed around the NSC unaided, and the remaining 206m from The Bungalow to the summit.
