Over the easter weekend, Ian Thornton and Andrew Spurr will be taking part in the Devizes to Westminster international canoe marathon. This is the longest non-stop canoe race in the world, 126 miles starting in Wiltshire and ending at Westminster bridge. We are aiming to finish it in around 24 hours, it is no easy undertaking which is why it is described as 'the canoeist's everest'.
Thank you for visiting our fundraising page. Please dig deep and sponsor us. Any donation, however small, is appreciated.
Donating through this site is just one way to sponsor us: we are also collecting cheques and cash.
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also probably the easiest way to sponsor us: if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax (called Gift Aid) will be added to your gift at no cost to you. However, this site charges a 5% fee from all donations, so if you don't mind the hassle of sending us a cheque, all the little bits will add up and we will ending up giving more to Cancer Research UK!
Many thanks for your support.
If you have any questions please don't hesitate to contact Andy or Ian on andrew.spurr@lmh.ox.ac.uk, or ian.thornton@new.ox.ac.uk respectively.
