Durham STAR are raising money throughout the month of February for West End Refugee Service (WERS). This incredible charity work hard to provide support to refugees and asylum seekers in Newcastle through advice, support and friendship.

Any donation no matter how big or small would mean so much to us and help to fund this amazing charity to continue their vital work for refugees in the North East.

We are going to be running 22 miles, the distance of the English Channel, between our members, to highlight the length asylum seekers are forced to undertake due to the lack of safe routes to the UK. We are also going to be selling £5 Galentine/Valentine packages (which contain 2 brownies and a cookie) which you can gift to friends and family during lockdown! (Only in the Durham area). Finally, we will run an online yoga session via zoom with a professional yoga instructor (£3). Thank you for all your support!
