Story
We had known each other for two weeks when our household was locked down in our Durham university accommodation, after two of us contracted coronavirus. We were assigned our household based on a mutual love for music, and it is music which has kept us going.
The Arts have been devastatingly hit by COVID 19 and we wanted to do something to defend and support the people who make our world go round - we miss live music more than we can explain.
Our corridor is 15m long and on Sunday, between us, we are going to cross it 2813 times to complete a marathon in order to raise money for Help Musicians UK. This charity is very active in supporting professional musicians in times of hardship, which is especially important during the current coronavirus pandemic where most sectors of the industry have found themselves in unprecedented financial difficulty.
