Dear family, friends and esteemed colleagues,
I was planning to have a quiet weekend with my family, running my 10th full marathon, in Edinburgh on Sunday with no fundraising goals to worry about. I dont normally ask for 'sponsorship' for these lumbering hobby runs, as charity fatigue soon sets in.
I now want to dedicate my run to raise funds for Help for Heroes in memory of Lee Rigby. I have to channel my anger and confusion over this horrible eposide and feel it is right to rally you good folks to contribute one or two pounds each towards Lee and his peers, 20-somethings in defence of our country.
