Story
Barrie Davis worked for Ray Chapman Motors for approximately 13 years and in this period he has formed many close relationships with people he came into contact with. Many of his customers became close friends.
During the early stages of the lockdown period Barrie started to suffer with stomach and back pains which progressively got worse. Sadly he was unable to secure an appointment with specialists until July, at which point it was identified he had pancreatic cancer. Unfortunately his body was unable to receive chemotherapy and after a short illness he went into St Leonards Hospice and passed away peacefully during the early hours of Sunday, 18th October 2020.
For those of you who came into contact with Barrie, you’ll know
what a tremendously loyal, hard working and above all else honest man he was.
In conjunction with the wishes of Barrie's wife Helen, we are raising money for two charities - St Leonard's Hospice, York and Macmillan Cancer Support. (Please see the separate Macmillan Page).
