More about the work we support
Over the past 4 years Picturehouse have been supporting water and sanitation projects in Niger through www.plan-uk.org. Niger is a country where water is precious and over half the population are forced to drink dirty, dangerous water. Our aim is to provide access to safe drinking water and train and educate children and adults about good hygiene. Since we started in 2008 we have raised a total of £95,627, built 3 Bore holes and given 987 people access to clean water. But there is always more. Our next project will provide 990 people in Bangou Fada Rouzou, Niger with safe drinking water for the first time by constructing a borehole as well as providing blocks of school latrines for Students. Vital hygiene and sanitation education will also be provided in the community.

We are aiming to raise a total of 30k across this year to fund this borehole.
