We support treatment, research and care to make our hospitals even better

Story

It's happening on the 28th June when we are setting off from Manchester and riding just under 40 miles to Liverpool along the trans Pennine trail (thankfully avoiding the Pennines) .... there are going to be 1000's of us doing it (60 confirmed at last count) and all the money raised is going to The New Childrens Hospital Appeal to raise money for the truly fantastic new Manchester Children's Hospital that we all hope we will never have to use.

Manchester to Liverpool ..... OK so it's not exactly the Tour De France but 40 miles is a long way across country. Training is going well ... just need to buy some bikes now, luckily Gordon Brown has generously agreed to pay for them on the Ride To Work Scheme .... he'll never know. Buttocks are aching like you wouldn't believe but the padded lycra shorts are a godsend ... just don't wear a thong with them.

We hope that you will sponsor us and encourage your friends to do so as well .... even if we only get £1 each from all our friends we will have raised £6 in total which will be fantastic !

Donating through Justgiving is quick, easy and totally secure. It’s also the most efficient way to sponsor us: Central Manchester & Manchester Children's University Hospitals Charity gets your money faster and, if you’re a taxpayer, Justgiving makes sure 25% in Gift Aid, plus a 3% supplement, are added to your donation.

Thank you for your support
