Story

Assalamu'alaikum wa rahmatullah

Dear All,

My name is Idris I am 13 years old and this Ramadan I would like to raise funds for a Masjid and Community Centre to many; Darul Ummah Masjid. Thank you for kindly visiting this page.

The Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “The believer’s shade on the Day of Resurrection will be his charity.” – (Al-Tirmidhi, Hadith 604)

I will be raising the funds in remembrance of my late Nana/Maternal Grandfather Maulana Abdun Noor Horipuri who had dedicated his life towards working with Mosques in Bangladesh, Scotland and England.

I  would also like to dedicate the charity in the remembrance of my late Paternal Grandparents Alhajj Badsha Miah and Sayera Khatun, my Dhadha and Dhadhi.

The aim for the funds of this page is to go towards the development of Darul Ummah Masjid's Women's Prayer Hall and Prayer facilities. It is a crucial part of the Masjid  as they regularly have Female attendees, Classes and Prayers in congregation.

Although the Masjid is closed because of Covid-19, in accordance with the Government guidelines we still hope to raise these funds to improve facilities and be prepared to welcome visitors once again. As the Masjid attracts many Men, Women, Children, Muslims and None Muslims.

“Charity does not decrease wealth, no one forgives another except that Allah increases his honour, and no one humbles himself for the sake of Allah  except that Allah raises his status.” (Sahih Muslim 2588)

Please share my page and help me reach the target. Every penny counts and I appreciate your assistance. Happy Ramadan and May Allah bless you with Barakah and I wish you the best of health during this time! Ameen

Love,

Idris Banna Hasan
