Story
No! Stop! No more fake Aldi Baileys for me! No sherry! Not even white wine, drunk in a shot glass behind the fridge at 4pm whilst the children argue in the living room!
I’m giving up alcohol for January, for Cancer Research UK. I’m becoming a Dryathlete. (This is like an athlete who drinks coffee and eats chocolate and sits on a sofa.) All through January I’m not going to touch alcohol.
If you fancy donating, please do. Every pound helps Cancer Research UK bring forward the day when all cancers are cured. I’ll be donating my drinking money (figures will be based entirely on current offers at Lidl.)
The Dryathlete’s Oath - I promise that I shall take part in Dryathlon™, respecting and abiding by the rules which govern it, committing myself to a month without alcohol, in the true spirit of do-gooding, for the glory of Dryathletes and the honour of Cancer Research UK.
