Story
Resilience, grit, sacrifice, determination, courage..
It is difficult to find a concise list of words to adequately summarise the qualities required to survive, recover, rehabilitate and eventually re-start following any injury sustained in service.
This is not confined to the physical. Nor it is confined to those who serve, but the families of those who do also. I have the honour to serve those who serve and grew up following the incredible work Help for Heroes have done and continue to do.
In the wake of recent conflicts there is a huge burden of both physical and psychological injury. Help me help others thrive in spite of this!
What am I doing?
Three challenges, one ongoing and two events.
Challenge 457
What?: I am planning to complete one hill rep for every fatality from the Afghanistan conflict (457) on the most horrible hills I can find in my local training area.
When: to be completed by the start of the Marathon on 2nd October.
The Struggle Moors
What?: this is an ultra-endurance cycling sportive covering 112 miles and over 10'000ft of elevation.
When?: 3rd July 2022.
London Marathon
What?: this needs no explanation!
When?: 3rd October 2022.
Any donation is massively appreciated - help me raise awareness of this incredible charity.
