I am taking part in this triathlon for the 2nd year. Last year was a fantastic day and i have an extra incentive this year of doing it to help raise money on behalf of Bury Hospice.

The event is set in the Lake District and involves:

1. 1.2 mile swim in Ullswater (England's most beautiful lake)

2. 56 mile bike ride including the Kirkstone Pass

3. 12.5 mile run on the fells above Ullswater.

As a local GP for the last 20 years i appreciate the hard work Bury Hospice does caring for patients and supporting their families and carers in their time of need.

Bury Hospice is not part of th NHS.It needs to raise over £1.8 million each year to ensure its caring services continue and expand.It costs £5000 a day to provide its services.

I would appreciate any donation small or large to help support our local Hospice.
