Event: Trek26 Cotswold Way - 26 miles, on 16 July 2022
Trek for loved ones, and raise money to support people devastated by dementia. Explore the rural landscape of the Cotswolds as you trek through ancient woodlands, wildflower meadows and historic Cotswold stone villages

Story

I have decided to take on the challenge of walking 26 miles on 16th July 2022 to help the fight for a cure for dementia and support those affected by this disease. Any money raised can make such a difference, £115 can provide a years worth of weekly check in calls  for someone living with dementia and save them from loneliness.

Some of my colleagues from work will also be taking on this challenge so hopefully between us we can help make a difference. Throughout my professional career I have seen the devastation dementia can cause to those affected and their loved ones. The Coronavirus pandemic has made life very difficult for many. I have also seen the impact of this disease among the families of some of my friends and I am now experiencing this first hand in my own family.

This challenge will not be easy, 26 miles is a very long way but living with dementia is not easy. I want to play my part in making lives better for all those affected by dementia.
