Story

The Springboard Project are incredible and are a charity that Niamh wholeheartedly adored. Their mission is to:

  • Facilitate and offer advice and support to disabled children, young people and their families.

  • Create environments and deliver services that develop identity and build self-esteem.

  • Advocate and raise awareness on disability and the barriers associated.

  • Enhance the physical and emotional wellbeing of disabled children, young people and their families.

Niamh worked with disabled young people, many of which she continued working with as a private carer. She made such a difference to many lives and really championed disability rights and equality. This passion motivated her to start her Child Nursing degree at university.

I really wanted to do something big and meaningful in Niamh's memory so thought to challenge myself! I debated starting small and entering a 5k/10k but I might as well go for it! Training is already in full swing and it would be amazing having your support to help the Springboard Project continue doing amazing work.
