Story
This year I am walking the beautiful coastline of mainland Scotland, 6000 miles, border to border, Berwick to John o’ Groats then zig-zagging down to Gretna. I will be relying on my wee weather-beaten tent, occasional Youth Hostels, and the hospitality of the wildly lovable (and occasionally rather eccentric) folk of the Scottish coast!
During this slightly daft adventure I'll be drawing, paintings, sculpting and creating away to my hearts content and, most importantly, fundraising for the Scottish Mountain Rescue. They’ve done an incredible job in the wild weather we’ve been having this winter and I’m taking this opportunity support and hopefully, with your help, give them a nice fat cheque!
As an artist I have spent many hours clambering across the Highlands looking for sheltered painting places and inspiring views. It is always reassuring to know that if something goes wrong while up there a team of dedicated volunteers will drop what they are doing to help.
These volunteers are funded almost entirely by donations so every penny we raise will help them to continue to get out there and save lives. If all you can spare is the price of a pint, raise a glass and slàinte the incredible work Scottish Mountain Rescue do!
