What is Oxford for Romania?

Oxford for Romania is a UK charity offering a week-long, multidisciplinary summer school that takes place in Oxford, UK. Established in 2016 by academics and professionals established in the UK, but with strong roots in Romania, the school aims to be an eye-opening learning experience for Romanian high school students with great academic potential and limited financial means.

The summer school is more than an innovative educational experience for someone who has never encountered similar opportunities. It is an inspiration for future action. The young people who joined the programme during previous years have already initiated their own community projects in Romania, volunteered for causes they believed in, started learning independently subjects they knew nothing about before their summer school experience or pursued new career paths through international universities.

A 100% volunteer-based project, the school aims to be a transformative educational experience. The school is designed as an alternative learning experience meant to enable a growth mindset and the spirit of community engagement. The selected students will meet experienced academics and professionals working or studying abroad.

What is North Cape 4000?

North Cape 4000 (NC4K) is an ultra-endurance cycling event taking its participants from Italy all the way up north until we run out of land under our wheels. It is a 4000 km ride with the ultimate aim of reaching as far as the North Cape.
