Story
Over the weekend of 02-03 July 2022, my co-driver David and I will be attempting to virtually undertake the 24 Hours of Le Mans by driving non-stop for 24 hours around the Circuit de la Sarthe in a home-made sim racing rig.
In a change from the original plan to undertake this fully solo (but pausing the game for bathroom and food breaks), we will instead be attempting this in proper “Le Mans” style; only being able to get out of the car and change drivers whilst in the pits, and whilst the race continues in the background.
After an initial attempt to complete this challenge was red-flagged due to technical issues, we’re determined to successfully complete the challenge on this date by any means necessary: a range of backup and backup-backup options are being put in place to ensure that, whatever happens, we can go sim-racing for 24 hours without any further technical hiccups!
Because this is a completely barmy idea that will probably cause us to lose even more marbles than we already have, we will be doing it in aid of Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance (HIOWAA) - so we would be grateful if you could help restore our sanity and make this all worthwhile by donating to this most excellent cause.

HIOWAA brings an advanced critical care team to people in Hampshire and the Isle of Wight when they need it most: highly skilled crews of Doctors, Paramedics and Pilots can be at the scene of an incident within minutes. However, it currently costs in excess of £15,000 a day to maintain this life-saving service, and it is only thanks to the generosity of the community that they are able keep the Air Ambulance flying.
Please help us get through this motoring nightmare by donating anything you can to keep the HIOWAA Helimed 56 (G-HIOW) in the air and saving lives.
Thanks!
