Story
In 2007 I was run over by a lorry on my way into medical school. If it wasn't for London's Air Ambulance, I'd probably have died on my way to hospital. It's thanks to them that I'm here today.
And now 10 years later they're giving me an opportunity to say thank you. With a team of paramedics, doctors, pilots and others who'd like to thank LAA for their loved ones, we're going to compete in the Marathon des Sables - more than 250km over 6 days in the Moroccan Sahara desert.
For Dave and I, running this race will be a dream come true - though at times it may feel more like a nightmare. During the low moments, remembering the reason we're doing this - for this life saving charity - will keep us going, one blistered foot in front of another..... Thank you so much for supporting our efforts. Roll on April 2018.....!
