I joined Race 4 Veronika's Place (R4VP) because I believe in this very worthy cause. I will be participating in the Charity Half Marathon.  R4VP provides nutritious food for sisters and brothers suffering from
HIV + AIDS, while the necessary drugs are provided by the US Government, through the PEPFAR program.  Nutritious food is absolutely necessary for the drugs to be effective.
In April 1993, I lost a 32-year-old extended family member and in December that same year, I lost my best friend to AIDS.  The horrors of this disease cannot be understated.  I will do all I can to ensure other sisters and brothers do not die from this disease.
