Story
After losing My Dad a few years ago I was struggling to deal with it. Trying to put a brave face on it and just getting on with it while working as a nurse in A&E led to burnout.
A colleague suggested Cruse and I gave it a shot. I can't tell you how helpful it was I had some sessions with a really lovely Counsellor; it was informal and over video call. I found it really easy to talk to someone unconnected to me and impartial. If you have lost a loved one and are struggling to come to terms with it Cruse could help. They certainly helped me and I will be forever grateful.
The last few years I have been competing in functional fitness competitions and powerlifting which has really helped my mental heath. This year I decided to run the Edinburgh half marathon and have decided to do it for Cruse so please donate what you can to help me reach my target and help this amazing charity continue to provide help to those struggling with grief and loss.
Thank you
Dougie
