Story
My wife Jenny and I have decided to put our new found fitness to the test and run a half marathon. Having avoided running all my life, this is going to be an amazing goal to achieve and never something I thought I’d ever see me doing. This time last year, I couldn’t even run round the block!
We decided to run for Guide Dogs because we recognise how lucky we are to have sight and mobility. Having a son with visual impairment makes you appreciate how lucky we are to see every day things without restriction.
Almost two million people in the UK are living with sight loss that has a significant impact on their daily lives. Of those, around 180,000 rarely leave their homes alone and lead lonely, isolated lives. Guide Dogs works for a world where people with sight loss are never left out of life, for a world where being blind or partially sighted is not what defines you. A world with enough support to make the challenges of sight loss no barrier to fulfilling hopes and dreams.
Thank you so much for whatever you can afford to give, it is hugely appreciated.
