On Sunday I am going to attempt to cycle one of the hardest rides in the area. The BEAST of Durham covers 18 hills to climb - 28 miles of ascent, 5,500 ft. Total distance is 52 miles, however I also need to cycle 12 miles to the start and 12 miles back. To total 78 miles.

This is the first challenge I have tried for three years, and did I mention I have not been out on my bike for over 12 months SO............. it is going to be brutal.
