Story

Y’all thank you so much for those that have sponsored me for a marathon in a couple of weeks. However, I’ve torn my calf muscle in training.

Two weeks out and I won’t be able to complete the marathon. Gutted is an understatement. However your money has pushed us over the threshold of being able to name a guide dog puppy after my mum.

I will be completing a marathon once I’m fit and I’ll be giving the flying pig another go next year. I got a PB in my last half marathon race two weeks ago so it’s not all been a wasted effort. Focusing on recovery and looking forward to running a (slightly delayed) marathon in June!

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
