On August 14th, 2010 I will be taking part in Rhondda Rocks to raise money for Love Hope Strength Foundation UK. One of the main reasons I am doing this is because I have known people close to me who have been impacted by Cancer and LHS is a charity that I am happy to support. The other reason for doing it is the past few years I have been limited in what I have been able to do in my life due to arthritis in my feet and following an operation in April 2010 I feel ready to face a nice challenge and in the process of that raise funds for LHS.

Love Hope Strength Foundation UK was registered as a charity in 2007 and co-founded by Mike Peters, two times cancer survivor and internationally acclaimed singer of Welsh rock band The Alarm. The charity promotes innovative, music related, outreach and awareness programmes for leukaemia and cancer sufferers, survivors and their families. Each year in the UK, over 250,000 people are diagnosed with cancer.

Cancer affects us all.

The foundation provides grants through its fundraising activities for cancer centres, hospices, hospitals, equipment and research.
