We help people with a learning disability to live their lives as they choose.

Story

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

Those of you who know me will know that I have good reason to take an active interest in the subject of mental well-being. My youngest daughter Patrise, age twelve, goes to a specialist school for children with learning disabilities, and my son Josh also works for Mencap.

Josh and I are participating in this 10K Run to help raise funds for Mencap, and also raise awareness of the great work this amazing charity does within the community looking after people with severe disabilities such as Down's Syndrome, Alzheimer's and Dementia.

We would like to raise at least £100.00 each, not a great amount one might think, but all donations will be gratefully received as we work up a sweat getting fit enough to run six and a half miles through the streets of London. Will you support our Great Cause Please?

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving – they’ll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they’ll send your money directly to the charity. So it’s the most efficient way to donate – saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

If everyone will simply donate £2.00 then together we will quickly raise enough funds to make our efforts worthwhile. Please just click on the Donate button on this page.

Thank You for your support, we really do appreciate it :-)

Doug.
