Story

For some bizarre reason I have, at the age of 48, decided to take up running. The last time I donned a pair of trainers with intent was 30 years ago at school! Now, I appear to have entered the Bristol 10 kilometre run on 25th September to raise money for Open Up Music, the charity I co-founded 8 years ago to revolutionise musical opportunities for young disabled musicians.

I’ve never run this far before! So, please sponsor me to help us continue our pioneering work. The various current crises make fundraising harder, so anything you can give will make a real difference to the young disabled musicians that Open Up Music exists to serve.

Donating through JustGiving is simple, fast and totally secure. Your details are safe with JustGiving - they'll never sell them on or send unwanted emails. Once you donate, they'll send your money directly to Open Up Music. So it's the most efficient way to donate - saving time and cutting costs for the charity.

NOYO (National Open Youth Orchestra) and Open Orchestras are initiatives by registered charity, Open Up Music. Since 2013 we have been blazing a trail with young disabled musicians in the UK. We work with them to make orchestras, and the arts, more accessible for young disabled people.
