Fundraising In Loving Memory Of Amai Alinedi Jumbe..In Aid Of The Salvation Army..
On July 6th 2021, in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic, unfortunately, Amai Alinedi Jumbe passed on far too early to severe pneumonia after she was hit by covid. She will forever be remembered for her selfless love and generosity by her loving husband, children , grandchildren , sons & daugthers-in-law, other family members , friends and church members. This all happened in a period of just 2 weeks and a bit. She had given so much to others, friends , family , church and the community around her in the 74 wonderful years of her life.
On 9th July, a memorial service will be held in lusaka, zambia in solemn rememberance , thanks giving to God and celebration of her well lived life.
Instead of receiving flowers , we opted to donate to a cause that was so dear to Amai Alinedi Jumbe to which she gave so generously but is not now able to do so . We have chosen to donate to the Salvation Army Charity. She contributed to the Salvation Army's works both in Zambia and Globally that help the sick , orphaned, elderly ,and children , in a nutshell , she helped contribute to the most vulnerable in society . The Salvation Army also does other fantastic work too. They work closely with the homeless, youths, trafficked adults and many other under priviledged and vulnerable .The Salvation Army was a big part of her life. She would often spend many hours a week doing various activities for The Salvation Army . Besides worshiping God , It gave her the opportunity to socialise and interact with friends .
For the challenge The Salvation Corps that we have decided to raise money for is Amai Alinedi's Local Salvation Army Chelstone Citadel in Lusaka, Zambia
We as a family are also grateful to what the Salvation Army Chelstone Citadel has done and continue to do to help us with the healing process during this difficult time. Also grateful for all the wonderful memories she made within the salvation army.
We have picked the month of July, starting on or before 6th July the date of her passing, to join the Salvation Army's "30 Tallest Buildings Challenge" to help us create awareness and raise funds in Amai Alinedi's memory.
This challenge will by no means be easy, your support , encouragement and generosity in any way you can will be much appreciated .
With much love, gratitude and appreciation
The Jumbes
