Story
Dear all,
1 week to go!! I find this really daunting!
The training has been a mixture of highs and lows but I can now manage 3 miles without being admitted to hospital all be it at a glacial pace. As for the other 7 miles,,,,,,,,,probably run/walk/stagger combination.
As a celebration of our mid life crisis my friend Sue decided that she and I should join a group of fit young things in entering the Great South Run. However, all of the fit young things conveniently forgot to enter. They have kindly offered to come and cheer us on before going to the pub for Sunday lunch!!
All the runners I know said I would get bitten by the running bug, not sure that has happened but after going through all of this I can't see the point of stopping now so we will definitely be entering again next year and hopefully do some smaller runs in between.
Sue and I have chosen to run for Guide Dogs and between us we are hoping to raise £1000/
It would be really fantastic if you could sponsor me and would be greatly appreciated by Guide Dogs.
