on 14th September we have exceeded the 350 hours of care, In the final week of fundraising how far can we go???

When I launched this page on 8th June I was hoping to raise £1150 which was 50 hours of care for someone in their own home.

As I type this I am currently at around 297 hours. so I have upped the ante and am going to try and reach 350 hours of care

I am blown away by the generosity of people. I am running the GNR to kick start my 50th birthday celebrations and what pre start this is!!

£23 helps fund 1 hour of overnight nursing care in a patients home

£207 helps fund nine hours of overnight nursing care in a patients home.

On 8th September 2024 to kick start my 50th Birthday Celebrations (which by the way is not to Christmas😊). I will be doing The Great North Run; "The biggest half marathon in the world and I am both delighted and excited to be running it as part of team Marie Curie.

Obviously I will be covering all the expenses involved with taking part myself so every penny I raise will go to Marie Curie to help them provide vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness, and their families at the toughest time.

As part of Team Marie Curie you pledge to raise £380. However I am hoping to fund 50 hours of overnight nursing care in a patients home, which I know from personal experience is when that Marie Curie nurse walks through the door they bring a calmness into one of the biggest storms of your life and knowing your loved one is safe in their own surroundings is priceless.
