Those who know me, will know that Julia suffered from Rheumatoid Arthritis for many years, which started at 43yrs of age.

The medication available then to ease pain and stop the disease spreading, led to lots of complications for mum and she passed away just over 2 yrs ago. She was the heart of my family and missed daily.

I was diagnosed with the disease at 27yrs old and medication available to me had advanced considerably. This has allowed me to not let the Arthritis take over my life.

I am doing this to raise money, to reduced the suffering of the next generation of diagnosed patients so that their pain and problems are reduced.

I am truly lucky to have worked for Boots Opticians for the past +20yrs, they have supported me through flare ups of the disease.

And the amazing thing is that they will double the amount I raise up to £500.
