Join me in making a difference for the animals of Second Chance Pet Adoptions! Every dollar raised through my participation in their FURtual Racing for Rescues 2020 event helps to support the stray and abandoned cats and dogs in their care. While some of the animals require extensive medical care, even the healthiest among them will incur routine costs such as food ($15-$40 depending on size), vaccinations ($15-20), and dewormer ($12 to over $50 for very large dogs). Additionally, all of their animals are microchipped and spayed/neutered before adoption, with costs for cats and dogs ranging up to $159. Second Chance also funds the spay/neuter of cats owned or cared for by members of the public, around 400 per year, to take a proactive approach to ending animal homelessness.
