Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page. My daughter was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes 3 years ago, type 1 diabetes is usually diagnosed in childhood and is an autoimmune disease where the immune system attacks the pancreas and kills the insulin making cells, without insulin a person will die. My daughter has at least 5 injections a day sometimes more depending on what she eats, without insulin my daughter wouldn't be here.
Myself Emma Brighty and my daughter Aimee will be taking part in the great south run which is a 10 mile run to raise money for JDRF and to raise awareness about type 1 diabetes. Type 1 diabetes is a life long condition with no cure, hopefully in the future there will be a cure but for a cure the charity needs money for research.
So please dig deep and sponser us, anyone who knows me and Emma will know we are not runner's and to actually run 10 miles is a massive challenge for us to take on but we will do it for JDRF amd hopefully a cure will be available one day
