Story
To be honest, hospices hadn’t really been on my radar until I was caring for my mum who had terminal cancer. She wanted to stay at home until the end and I moved in with her to care for her. Without the support of a ‘hospice at home’ service, I wouldn’t have been able to do it. The two carers that looked after mum were absolute angels and I don’t say that lightly.
Hospices have struggled financially during the pandemic and fundraising is proving to be extra difficult for them at the moment with the additional strain of rising living costs. If you can spare just a few pounds, please sponsor me to help raise funds for St Joseph’s Hospice.
The event I’m doing is called Strictly St Joseph’s! Ten contestants learn a group dance and a solo dance with a pro dancer and perform at a charity gala evening in September! I’m doing the samba! Surely the thought of me galloping round dressed as a carnival queen is worth a couple of quid?! 😂
There will be photographic evidence of training along the way, as well as on the night itself! (Some people may find these disturbing! 🙈)
Thank you in advance 🥰
In memory of my mum, Frances Murphy, a huge Strictly fan ❤️
