More and more lately i find myself reading or watching news articles about people commiting suicide, men, women, the elderly and even teenagers whos lives have barely begun. Everytime i hear of another tragic loss due to reasons most of us will never understand like, breaking up from a partner, being in debt, losing someone close, or being bullied to name a few it pulls on my heart strings as i myself lost my brother and my best friend and one of the few people in my life i could trust and rely on to suicide.
Every story i hear or read it breaks my heart and i think if only there was away of showing these people who get to the point where they think ending their life is their only option, that there is ALWAYS a way to get through it, no matter what their troubles are and that theres always someone there who cares and is willing to listen and help............then i found this charity CLASP whos aim is to do exactly that and i knew instantly i wanted to support them and the work they do.
So on july 19th - 20th i will be joining many others and walking through the night from 8pm till dawn through london mainly down the river thames and finishing in old deer park. And am asking for people to either sponsor me or make a donation to this charity whether youd like to join me in remembering my brother if you knew him or whether you have your own relatives or friends youd like to donate on behalf of in their memory or even just because you want to support the fantastic and well needed work that these people do please feel free to either donate directly on this page or give to me in person. Every penny counts so no matter whether its pounds or pence it could help save a life in the future.
If you would like to donate in memory of someone you know and would like a photo of them uploading on my page also then please ask and i am happy to raise money in all their memories and help raise awareness of how many people could benefit from this charity.
Thank you for taking the time to read this and for supporting this cause. Donna xxxx
