Story

Running 13 miles isn't going to be easy, but it is a small price to pay for the gift of Scooby. He is a gorgeous 8 year old Labrador retriever cross and has single pawedly given David his life back, after losing his sight. The work that Guide Dogs do is amazing and deserves support. My family knows exactly how valuable their support is and having Scooby has changed all of our lives immeasurably.

Elly, James and Kaleigh are joining me on this mission, which makes me very proud. It also means I can't slack on the training as they are all way younger and fitter already than me!!! Oh well, got to start somewhere, I suppose.

So, if you are able to support us by donating even a small amount, we would be very grateful, as we need the work of Guide Dogs to continue and to be able to help more people to experience the fantasticness of a Guide Dog.

We thank you very much for your support. We will let you know how we get on (Rest assured, no records will be broken, definitely not by  me anyway, unless there's one for being the slowest and moaniest runner. I might get that one!!)

The ability to get around is vital in order to live a full life yet thousands of people with sight loss never leave home alone. We empower visually impaired people to do that and rely on the support of the public to fund the guide dog service.
