In 1921, over nine million poppies were created and sold on 11 November. Today, over five million Scottish poppies are still made by hand by disabled ex-Servicemen & ex-Servicewomen at Lady Haig's Poppy Factory each year distributed by Poppyscotland.

Story

Please support me in my Centenary Challenge to mark 100 years of The Poppy Appeal - I will be walking on the wing of a plane at an Airfield in Kent on 25th September 2021. I am also baking shortbread poppies (I will not be doing these two challenges simultaneously :)  )
