We work throughout the world helping to improve the lives of donkeys and mules

Story

In May we celebrate all things donkey with our special Donkey Week, and to mark the occasion we are offering one lucky winner the chance to bag this gorgeous piece of donkey artwork.

This original watercolour was left to us by donkey-loving supporter Mrs Irene Patricia Woodrow - a supporter since 1978 - in her Will, with an invitation to use it to raise funds to help care for our donkeys here at The Donkey Sanctuary.

Legacy income is vital to our charity. In fact since we began 45 years ago, fully three-quarters of our lifesaving work has been paid for by legacies from our kind hearted supporters.

It is an original painting by artist Diane Rosher who spent several days taking photos at one of our farms in 2001, from which she painted this picture, entitled Donkeys in Field.

As you can see from the photograph, Frank took great interest in this fantastic picture of some of his Sanctuary predecessors.

With its gold-coloured, bevelled frame, this 15-year-old watercolour measures 23" x 24.5" and would look right at home on the wall of any donkey-lover.

If you love your donkeys, we are sure you will fall in love with these three beauties, while helping us care for neglected donkeys all around the world.
