Story

Earlier this year, 18 donkeys were rescued following a complaint initiated by our welfare officers in Yorkshire. Since then the RSPCA cared for the donkeys for about six months pending prosecution of the owner for neglect. Having now successfully prosecuted the owner, the RSPCA has been able to hand over the donkeys to The Donkey Sanctuary.Sadly not one of these donkeys has a name so we are inviting you to enter our competition to give all these donkeys the truly wonderful gift of a name this Christmas. This unique competition to give each of these donkeys a name for Christmas will run from now until Thursday 24th December 2009 when our Founder, Dr Elisabeth Svendsen, will draw 18 names out of a hat.

Example message to leave (Step 4):

10475 - Blackjack. I've never seen a donkey so black as he is!
