Why we need your help? 

Following the two earthquakes of 7.8 and 7.5 magnitudes that hit Southeast Turkey and Northwest Syria, more than 30 million people have been affected. Hundreds and thousands have lost their lives, loved ones and are left without their homes. People in Türkiye and Syria are suffering from freezing temperatures, shortages in fuel and electricity due to damaged infrastructure, limited supplies due to strained supply chains, and more are hampering the efforts of search and rescue teams on the ground. Approximately 380,000 people have taken refuge in government shelters, shopping malls, community centres, and even their cars to protect themselves from the cold.The scale of this disaster cannot yet be determined as the situation on the ground continues to evolve, what we do know is that it is a race against time to save lives.

Islamic Relief teams are on the ground right now responding to the disaster in both Türkiye (Turkey) and Northern Syria. Alhamdulillah, with your generosity so far, we have been able to support 886, 186 individuals (100, 711 households).

Your generosity will give those that are most vulnerable in Syria 🇸🇾 and Turkey 🇹🇷 a safe place to call home during this period of uncertainty.

A group of us university students have pledged to fundraise £10,000 for Syrian and Turkish victims of the earthquake on behalf of Islamic Relief ☪️
