Story
Want to join me in supporting a good cause? I'm challenging myself to cycle at least 100 Miles in October (I'm going to aim for double this !) for Scotland's Charity Air Ambulance and I would really appreciate your help.
As most of you will know, I suffered a heart attack last September while taking part in the Tour o the Borders cycling event. Thanks to an emergency medical team who responded very promptly and arranged a transfer to Royal Edinburgh Infirmary by air ambulance, within 2 hours I was in the Cardiology unit having a stent fitted. Without the air ambulance service my journey would have been at least one hour longer. Thanks to the treatment I received, I am feeling fit again and enjoying regular cycling, although now with the benefit of an e-bike.
The SCAA, operating out of Aberdeen and Perth, work in partnership with the Scottish Ambulance Service and is funded entirely by charitable donations
Whether you donate £5 or £500 - every little bit helps. Thank you for your support!
