Story
Thanks for taking the time to visit our JustGiving page.
Donna and I are raising money for Marie Curie in memory of Marty MacKay. Marty was a friend who passed away in 2010 aged only 43. I had known Marty all my life. He was a family man, boat builder, part-time fireman and coastguard, musician and friend to many people far and wide.
Most of all Marty was one of life’s good guys and first class practical joker!
Whilst this annual walk is to raise funds in memory of Marty, our dear friend Sandy who we lost to cancer in December will also be in our thoughts.
On the 5th of April 2014 we will be walking 15 miles from Rhiconich to Durness in the far north west of the Scottish Highlands where Marty and myself grew up.
