Story
The RNLI is a charity that has always been a huge part of my life. Being given the opportunity to represent them by running the London Marathon is something that I am am incredibly proud of. This is a charity that any one of us may call upon day or night and the brave men and women who are staff and volunteers will always drop whatever they are doing and come to help!
For generations and until this day, members of my family have given up 100’s of hours of there own time, and risked there lives in order to save others. Doing this is my way of giving a very small bit back.
Now for the official lines from the RNLI…..
Too many people are still drowning. More than ever we need the RNLIs help. As a charity, the RNLI depends on our donations so it can go on saving lives and keeping us and our loved ones safe. RNLI lifesavers are our lifeline. Theyre the lifeboat crews who provide 24-hour search and rescue right around the UK and Ireland. The lifeguards keeping watch on 240 of the busiest beaches in the UK and Channel Islands. And the RNLI safety teams and educators working tirelessly to stop people getting into trouble in the first place.
Thank you!!
