Story
Hi Everyone,
I'm running the London Marathon to raise money for The Special Olympics Great Britain. This is in conjunction with Mencap. There is an awful lot of pain involved, both physical and mental when training for such a big challenge. It's only put into real perspective when you consider the amazing challenges the Special Olympics Atheletes take on and what they have accomplished not only on the track and field but in their lives. These people are true Champions!
My training is going well. I completed a 20 mile run recently and beat my brother in the Stafford Half Marathon last Sunday. That should put an end to 30 years of bullying from him! HA
Raising the money for this challenge is proving to be as tough as the training! I'm getting closer and closer to the target thanks to my Pizza Pals, who at this weekends Annual Domino's bash donated over £650! Unfortunately I didn't get around to all of the Franchisees but I know where they live!
So, if you dig even deeper into your pockets and I raise anything above my target of £3500 then I promise to DO THE MARATHON DRESSED AS A LADY!!
Donating through this site is simple, fast and totally secure. It is also the most efficient way to sponsor me: The Special Olympics and Mencap will receive your money faster and, if you are a UK taxpayer, an extra 28% in tax will be added to your gift at no cost to you.
If you want to see me prancing around for 26.2 miles dressed as a luny then please sponsor me now online.
Many thanks for your support, if you see me training give me a honk!
Ben Sandy
