Several years ago my mum began having difficulties with moving one of her feet.  We went through various potential diagnoses and a hip replacement before seeing a neurology specialist in London and finally reaching the diagnosis of PLS; a form of Motor Neurone Disease.

There are still no treatments to stop or even slow the progression of MND and over the years it has slowly taken away more of my mother's mobility and she is now confined to an electric wheelchair.

I am running to raise money for the MND Association who have provided a huge amount of support to my mum throughout this time and who also fund research into treatments for MND.
