Story

8 of us are joining together to climb Mt Kilimanjaro... from inside our own homes! We will climb together, splitting up the mountain between us and doing it all over one week.

We will do this by climbing up our stairs lots and lots of times each day, which will by the end total the same amount of steps for climbing up the height of Mt Kilimanjaro, (Which is about 6000m or 31,920 steps on our stairs!).

We'll start on the 5th May, and finish our climb on the 11th May.

We're fundraising for Tearfund so that people living in poverty will be better equipped to deal with the devastation of coronavirus.

We’re starting to see the impact COVID-19 is having on some of the poorest communities. In places with poor healthcare and less infrastructure the potential for devastation increases.

By sponsoring us you will help Tearfund’s work, including promoting hygiene practices, providing food for those in quarantine and building hand washing stations.
