Windsor to Chinon Cycle Ride, w/c 20th September 2009
Thanks for helping support our French cycling trip which I am doing in
memory of my friend Jon Farrar, with whom I grew up and spent many happy
days cycling through the Hertfordshire countryside.
He died last year from Motor Neurone Disease, which is still incurable
but there is some great work being conducted in trying to find a
treatment. They are really short of funds, so if you can help in any way
it would make a big difference for future suffers.
To raise money, four of us are cycling 350 miles over 5 days, from
Windsor to Chinon in the Loire valley. We have been planning and
training over the spring and summer and are now ready to make the trip,
albeit that we know it will be tough and we might not be able to sit
down for a week afterwards.
