Inaugural Cawton Half Marathon · 17 May 2020

NHS Charities Together and its members across the UK are hugely grateful for the support received from so many since the onset of the Covid-19 pandemic.

Story

I was supposed to be running the Hackney half marathon on Sunday 17 May. This has been cancelled due to the pandemic, but I have decided I am still going to run *a* half marathon as my state-permitted form of daily exercise - starting and finishing in my home village of Cawton, North Yorkshire, and taking in several of the surrounding villages.

In the light of current events, I'm going to do it to raise money for NHS Charities Together.

NHS staff and volunteers are doing amazing work right now in caring for COVID-19 patients.Together, let's show our respect and gratitude as they work tirelessly in the face of the virus. It's our turn to make sure we look after them, to ensure they can keep doing their vital work.
